Health and Community Services January 16, 2007 Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Launch of Smokers� Helpline Campaign The Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Health and Community Services, will bring greetings on behalf of government at the launch of the Smokers� Helpline mass media campaign for smoking cessation today (Tuesday, January 16) at 10:00 a.m. at the Sobey�s Community Room on Merrymeeting Road. The Smokers� Helpline offers a toll-free number - 1-800-363-5864 - that smokers, or family members who are concerned for the health of their loved one and themselves, can call and speak to a trained smoking cessation counsellor. - 30 - Media contact: 2007 01 16
