Premier Rodney MacDonald will host the 14^th Session of the Council of Atlantic Premiers in Halifax, Nova Scotia on December 12, 2007. Premiers Shawn Graham, Danny Williams and Robert Ghiz have confirmed their attendance.

The meeting will focus on improving regional competitiveness and will also provide an opportunity for premiers to discuss upcoming meetings, including the Atlantic Joint Cabinet meeting that will be held in Sackville, New Brunswick, on January 18, 2008.

The meeting will take place at the World Trade and Convention Centre at 1800 Argyle Street in Halifax. A photo opportunity will be available between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. in Room 200E. A press conference will be held in Suite 202 at 1:00 p.m. Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided during the press conference. News releases issued from the meeting will be distributed by each province�s communications office following the meeting and will be accessible at www.cap-cpma.ca.

A media working area will be located in the Show Office on Level 2 of the WT&CC and will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007.

All media representatives, including journalists, photographers, camera operators, and technicians, are requested to register by submitting their name, affiliation, and contact information to the Council of Atlantic Premiers� Information Officer by December 10, 2007.
