Media Advisory: Final Details to Media for
National Aboriginal Women�s Summit in Corner Brook

The following are the details for the media regarding the National Aboriginal Women�s Summit (NAWS) to take place in Corner Brook from June 20 to 22, 2007.

The Native Women's Association of Canada and Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, with support from the Government of Canada, are partnering in co-hosting the first ever NAWS. The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will co-chair the event with Beverley Jacobs, President of the Native Women�s Association of Canada (NWAC).

Wednesday, June 20

7:00 p.m. Welcoming reception for delegates

Thursday, June 21

8:30 a.m. Photo opportunity and opening remarks
10:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Facilitated Breakout Sessions (not open to media)
7:30 p.m. Banquet

Friday, June 22

8:30 a.m. Plenary discussion (no recording equipment allowed)
1:00 p.m. Premiers-National Aboriginal Organization Leaders remarks
3:30 p.m. News Conference

Media Registration/Accreditation

All media attending the NAWS in Corner Brook must be accredited. The registration and information desk will be located in the lobby of the Pepsi Studio.

Registration and information desk hours are as follows:

Wednesday, June 20, 2:00 p.m. � 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, June 21, 8:00 a.m. � 7:00 p.m.
Friday, June 22, 8:00 a.m. � 5:00 p.m.

Media Work Centre

The media work centre is located in suites 201 and 202 of the Pepsi Studio. The centre will be equipped with Internet access, phones, power outlets, a fax machine, television and radio.

Transportation of equipment between the Pepsi Centre and Pepsi Studio is available if required. Transportation will also be provided to and from the hotel.
