Media Advisory: Atlantic Ministers to Hold Consultation on Rules and Regulations Reform

Editor�s Note: The Atlantic ministers responsible for regulatory reform, under the Council of Atlantic Premiers, will hold a consultation session on improving rules and regulations for small- and medium-sized enterprises in Atlantic Canada.

The meeting is taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, April 16, 2007, at the Delta Beausejour Hotel in Moncton. It will be jointly hosted by Business New Brunswick and minister responsible for red tape reduction, Minister Greg Byrne, Newfoundland and Labrador Minister of Business Kevin O�Brien, Chair of the Nova Scotia Treasury and Policy Board and Minister responsible for the Better Regulation Initiative Angus MacIsaac, and Prince Edward Island Member of the Legislative Assembly MLA Wayne Collins.

The meeting will include private sector stakeholders from Atlantic Canada, representing the interests of their respective industries.

The ministers will be available to speak with media following the conclusion of the meeting at 3 p.m.
