Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKINGS RELEASED:

1.) Penney�s Hill, Foxtrap Access Road Sand and Gravel Quarry                     (Reg. 1341)
Proponent: Capital Ready Mix Ltd.

2.) Bide Arm Mink Farm                                                                               (Reg. 1344)
Proponent: Mr. Wade Reid

3.) Deer Lake Hotel Development                                                                  (Reg. 1348)
Proponent: Resource Development Associates Inc./Winport Developments Inc.

The minister has released the above project from further environmental assessment review, subject to the following condition:

  • The proponent must consult the Wildlife Division of the Department of Environment and Conservation to prepare a Wildlife Buffer Zone Plan that will be acceptable to the minister prior to the commencement of the on-site activities.
