Media Advisory: Minister Plants Tree to Celebrate Environment Week

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Environment and Conservation, will be joined by Michael Murray, past president of Landscape Newfoundland and Labrador on Monday, June 4, to participate in a tree planting event in recognition of Environment Week. The event gets underway at 11:00 a.m. East Block, Confederation Building, next to the Sir Wilfred Grenfell statue.

June 3-9 is Environment Week and the theme is Taking Action for our Environment. It is a reminder to everyone we must work together and take an active role to ensure Newfoundland and Labrador�s environment is clean and healthy for all to enjoy.

Landscape Newfoundland and Labrador is a province-wide professional association representing all sectors of the landscape and horticultural industry in the province. Their mission is to provide information, services and products to customers that will promote and create sustainable, healthy and beautiful landscapes across the province.
