Media Advisory: Minister to Address Real Time Water Quality Monitoring Workshop

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Environment and Conservation, will address the Real Time Water Quality Monitoring Workshop in St. John�s on Monday, June 4. Minister Jackman will address delegates beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Capital Hotel.

Real time water quality monitoring is state of the art technology used to provide an early warning of adverse water quality incidents and is an integral part of proactive water resources management in the province.

This workshop is the first of its type held by the Department of Environment and Conservation. About 150 participants and presenters from across Canada representing federal, provincial and territorial governments, along with many suppliers, are expected to attend.
