Environmental Assessment Bulletin

Environment and Conservation Minister Clyde Jackman has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

COMPONENT STUDY RECEIVED FOR PUBLIC REVIEW:

Freshwater Component Study
Long Harbour Commercial Nickel Processing Plant Project
Proponent: Voisey's Bay Nickel Company                      (Reg. 1243)

The proponent has submitted the required Freshwater Component Study providing baseline data for the environmental assessment of the project. Public comments must be received no later than Tuesday, July 3, 2007. The minister will decide on the acceptability of this Component Study no later than Wednesday July 18, 2007.
