Environment and Conservation May 28, 2007 Environmental Assessment Bulletin Environment and Conservation Minister Clyde Jackman has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act. UNDERTAKING REGISTERED: Frederickton Mink Farm The proponent plans to establish a 1,500 breeder mink five kilometres south of Frederickton, Notre Dame Bay (each female breeder has one litter of 4-5 kits on average per year). The land is located adjacent to Beaver Hill at a former quarry site off Route 332. Construction will include three nine metre by 43 metre breeder sheds, a six metre by nine metre storage shed, a 15 metre by 12 metre manure pad and small electrical shed. The undertaking was registered on May 28, 2007; public comments are due by July 2, 2007; and the minister's decision is due by July 12, 2007.
