Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Grand Opening

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Environment and Conservation, will join members of the Cape Race-Portugal Cove South Heritage group on Friday, May 4, to participate in the grand opening of the new Portugal Cove South Visitor Centre. The event gets underway at 1:00 p.m.

The visitor centre serves as a major tourist attraction for the Irish Loop region with interpretative exhibits promoting the natural, historic and cultural resources of the area including the Cape Race Light Station and the Mistaken Point Ecological Reserve.
