General Election in the District of Grand Falls-Windsor-Buchans

In accordance with section 77 of the Elections Act, 1991, the Chief Electoral Office has fixed the official dates for the General Election in the electoral district of Grand Falls-Windsor-Buchans. The dates are as follows:

Nomination Day: Saturday, October 27, 2007

Advance Poll Day: Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Deadline for Special Ballot
Applications: Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Deadline for Receipt of
Completed Special Ballots: Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Polling Day: Tuesday, November 6, 2007　

To apply to vote by Special Ballot, you may call the returning officer, Georgina Barnes, at 489-0223 or 489-0796. You may also call the Chief Electoral Office toll free at

1-877-729-7987, or at 729-0712. Additionally, you may download the application from the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador Web site ( www.gov.nl.ca/elections ).
