Preliminary Vote Count for By Election in Labrador West

Based on preliminary vote counts received by telephone from the returning officer for two advance polls, 25 regular polls, and the Special Mail In Ballot Count, the results of the March 13, 2007 by election in the Electoral District of Labrador West are as follows:

The official addition of the votes for the by election in Labrador West is scheduled to take place at the office of the returning officer, Mr. Louis Dumaresque, located at the Menihek Shopping Centre, Grenfell Drive, Labrador City, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007.  Upon conclusion of the official addition of the votes, the candidate who receives the largest number of votes for the district shall be declared elected by the returning officer.
