Election Night Results

Based on preliminary vote counts received by telephone from the Returning Officer for three Advance Polls, 30 Regular Polls, and the Special Mail In Ballot Count, the results of the February 12, 2007 By Election in the Electoral District of Humber Valley are as follows:

BALL, Dwight 2,156
KELLY, Darryl 2,138
SENIOR, Shelley 119
Total Votes Cast 4,413
Total Eligible Voters 7,138

Voter Turnout: 62%

The official addition of the votes for the By-election in Humber Valley is scheduled to take place at the office of the Returning Officer, Ms. Duane Tompkins, located at 4A Church Street, Deer Lake, NL beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2007. Upon conclusion of the official addition of the votes, the Candidate who receives the largest number of votes for the district shall be declared elected by the Returning Officer.
