Media Advisory: Minister to Address Students from Across the Country

The Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Education, will address the Interchange on Canadian Studies (ICT), Tuesday, May 22 at 8:45 a.m.

ICT is an annual week-long conference and exchange opportunity for secondary school-aged students to increase their understanding and knowledge of Canada and to engage in discussions on issues that are important to the country. The theme of this year�s conference is Our Earth, Our Environment, Act!

Opening ceremonies will be held in room 2109 in the Science Building, Memorial University. Minister Burke will address conference participants, followed by Bob MacDonald, well-known science reporter, journalist and host of the popular CBC radio show Quirks & Quarks.
