Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at Innovation Awards Ceremony

The Honourable Kevin O’Brien, Minister of Business, will address Canada’s leaders in the manufacturing and exporting sectors during the 2007 Canadian Innovation Awards ceremony taking place at the St. John’s Convention Centre, today (Monday, October 22), beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Minister O’Brien will also present several awards at the ceremony, which is the gala event during the meeting of the board of directors of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) taking place in St. John’s today. Board members are also participating in Eastern Excellence: Best Practices in Atlantic Canada, a conference hosted by CME’s Newfoundland and Labrador division. The conference runs October 23-24 at the convention centre.
