Gymnastics Newfoundland and Labrador Names
Women�s Team for 2007 Canada Winter Games

Gymnastics Newfoundland and Labrador held its final selection meet on Sunday, November 26, at the Cygnus Gymnastics Training Center. Eleven gymnasts, representing three clubs, competed in vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor. Guest judges, Gail Thornton and Lorraine Currie, both from Ontario, acted as head judges for the competition.

Wayne Andrews, president of Gymnastics Newfoundland and Labrador, presented the team following the competition. Selected to the team were Deidre Lambert, Keely Whitelaw (Campia Gymnastics), Danielle Picco (Airials Gymanstics), Laura Hurley, Sarah Oakley, Courtney Parsons and Paula Whitten (Cygnus Gymnastics).

The team will be traveling to Prince Edward Island in January to compete at the Prince Edward Classic. This meet will be attended by Canada Winter Games Teams from the Atlantic Provinces.
