Volleyball Invades St. John's and Vicinity

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association will be hosting the Beresford VolleyFest 2006 on the Oct 27-28, 2006.

VolleyFest 2006 will host 137 Teams on 28 Volleyball Courts in St. John's, Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South areas. There will be over 1700 athletes, 250 coaches and 70 officials taking part in the 2 day event from all over Newfoundland and Labrador. There will also be teams participating from Nova Scotia.

The primary venue will be the Memorial University (MUN) Field House Complex that houses 6 courts.

Divisions:

Senior Male A: 15 Teams
Senior Female A: 14 Teams
Senior Male B: 15 Teams
Senior Female B: 20 Teams
Senior Female C: 20 Teams
JH Grade 9 Male: 10 Teams
JH Grade 8 & 7 Male: 9 Teams
JH Grade 9 Female: 20 Teams
JH Grade 8 & 7 Female: 14 Teams

Directly following the finals the MUN Seahawks will be having their season openers where a sold out Field House in 2005 cheered on the Seahawks. The winning teams will also be accepting their banners in between the Seahawks matches at 8:00pm.
