Judo Canada Judo Day 2006

On Tuesday, September 26, and Wednesday, September 27, the clubs in St. John�s and Conception Bay South (CBS) are offering the communities the opportunity to watch and participate in a judo class.

On Judo Day, clubs across Canada will open their doors to those of all ages interested in trying something new. The clubs will demonstrate the benefits of judo, including the physical aspects and the self discipline. Judo holds a long history of traditions and interesting philosophies. Judo is also a popular from of self defense.

On Tuesday, September 26, judo classes begin at 6.00 p.m. at Sankyo Judo Club located at Holy Cross Elementary School, St. Clare Ave in St. John�s and at 6.30 p.m. at Kokoro Judo Club, Holy Spirit High School in Manuels, CBS. On Wednesday, September 27, judo classes begin at 6.30 p.m. at Astra Judo Club at the YW/MCA and at 7.15 p.m. at MUN Judo Club located in the Combat Room, Phys Ed Building, both on St. John�s.

Weekly classes are held in all these clubs and visitors are welcome to stop by to observe these classes. Days and times can be had by calling the number below for information.
