NOTE TO EDITORS: The Rooms highlights new exhibit with display of historical boots Penny Houlden, director of The Rooms Provincial Museum, along with Johnny Rowe tomorrow (Tuesday, August 1) will open Going the Distance, The Achievements of Johnny Rowe. The exhibit highlights the achievements of Johnny Rowe, the first person to speed-walk across the Newfoundland portion of the Trans Canada Highway in 1966. The exhibit marks the 40th anniversary of the completion of the highway and Mr. Rowe�s walk, and celebrates the life of this remarkable man. The exhibit opening will take place at The Rooms Tuesday, August 1, at 10:30 a.m. Media representatives are invited to attend. Tea and coffee to be served afterwards.
