The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Midget and juvenile hoop teams off to national championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will be sending two female teams to Sherbrooke, Quebec and two male teams to Vancouver, British Columbia to compete in the 2006 National Championships on Sunday, July 30. Competition for both venues will begin on Tuesday, August 1 and will continue through the week, concluding on Saturday, August 5 with the championship games. Head coaches are for the programs include: Scott Lynch - Juvenile Girls; Doug Partridge - Midget Girls; Dave Constantine - Juvenile Boys and John Elkins - Midget Boys.
