The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

U14 girls basketball results

The provincial U14 Girls Developmental Basketball Program went 4-1 over this past weekend at the Montr�al International Festival played in Quebec. The girls won their first four games before dropping a 29-26 loss to Blessed Sacrament of Hamilton, ON. Blessed Sacrament went on to claim the title in the U14 division. Results for the Newfoundland team were:

NL 50 Quebec Rive Sud 38
NL 36 Quebec Espoirs Yamaska 33
NL 48 Espoirs Region Laurentides 29
NL 48 Espoirs Region Quebec 28
NL 26 Blessed Sacrament 29
