Swim for Hope Awards announced at long course championships

Swim for Hope is a joint project of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation and Swimming Newfoundland and Labrador. The foundation raises funds to support the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre (St. Johns) and its affiliated cancer programs throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. All contributions to the foundation stay in the province and are used to enhance regional cancer programs close to the patients home; support local education and research projects; fund patient support programs and services, and to acquire cancer treatment equipment.

Over 750 swimmers participated in the 12 hour continuous relay and over $75,000.00 was raised.
