NLIS 9 May 10, 2006 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Division I Men's Basketball Championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will host the Molson Division I Men's Open Championship this weekend, May 12-14 at Stella Maris High School in Trepassey. Teams entered in the championship include Nova Physiotherapy, Extreme Pita, U19 Cav's, the Lurkers and N.S.A.G. The majority of teams compete in the St. John's men's league and each team is permitted to add university athletes to their rosters. The event will commence at 5:00 p.m. Friday and will conclude with the championship game slated for Sunday at 3:00 p.m. 2006 05 10 4:00 p.m. |
