NLIS 1 February 28, 2006 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Short Course Provincial Championships set for this weekend Approximately 250 swimmers representing 11 swim clubs from all around the island and Labrador will compete this weekend at the Arts and Culture Centre pool in Gander during the 2006 Short Course Provincial Championships. There will be over 1,100 individual races plus relays. Warm ups for the competition get underway at 7:30 a.m. on Friday with heats and finals following. Full days of heats and finals continue on Saturday and Sunday. Individual age group and team awards will be presented at the wrap-up of Sunday�s finals session.
