NLIS 5 February 9, 2006 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Provincial hoop championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will host six U12 Pepsi Provincial Championships this weekend, February 10-12, with 45 teams participating. St. Bernard�s of Witless Bay will host the East Coast U12 Boys �A�, while Villanova of Manuels will host the U12 Boys �B� event. St. Bonaventure of St. John�s will host the East Coast U12 Girls �A�, while the �B� division will be played at Clarenville Middle School. J.J. Curling Elementary of Corner Brook will host the West Coast U12 Girls event, while the West Coast U12 Boys will be hosted by C.C. Loughlin School, also of Corner Brook. Play gets under way Friday and will conclude with the championship games slated for Sunday afternoon. 2006 02 09 4:40 p.m. |
