Lots of basketball this weekend

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association is holding several basketball events this coming weekend. Various sites will host the regional playdowns for the 2006 Winter Games slated for Deer Lake on February 25 - March 4. Tournaments will take place in Avondale, Grand Falls-Windsor, Clarenville, Ferryland, Deer Lake and St John�s to determine which schools will travel to the games.

Also this weekend the U11 Club Pepsi Championships will take place at St. John Bosco School and St. Matthew�s Elementary. Clubs participating include, Shea Heights Minor, Cowan Heights Minor and the Goulds Hoopsters.
