NLIS 3 January 4, 2006 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Sport Newfoundland and Labrador now accepting applications for annual awards program Sport Newfoundland and Labrador announced today that they are accepting applications for their annual awards program for 2005. The awards program was created to recognize and honour outstanding achievements in amateur sport across Newfoundland and Labrador. Nominations will be accepted in seven categories including Junior Female Athlete of the Year, Junior Male Athlete of the Year, Senior Female Athlete of the Year, Senior Male Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year and Executive of the Year. Completed nomination forms, together with all supporting documentation, must be received by January 27, 2006. Application forms can be downloaded at www.sportnf.com or call 576-4932. Sport Newfoundland and Labrador is the volunteer organization committed to the promotion and advancement of amateur sport throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
