Natural Resources Education November 29, 2006 Media Advisory: Ministers to Announce Funding for Placentia Area The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Minister of Natural Resources, and the Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Education, will be at Laval High School in Placentia tomorrow, (Thursday, November 29), to announce compensation for the area from Voisey�s Bay Nickel Company for the loss of the commercial processing facility at Argentia, as well as school infrastructure plans for the Placentia area. The ministers will be joined by Felix Collins, MHA for the District of Placentia and St. Mary�s, Placentia Mayor Bill Hogan, Argentia Management Authority chairman Harvey Mercer and Dr. Darin King, CEO/Director of Education for the Eastern School Board.
