NOTE TO EDITORS: Announcement in Newfoundland and Labrador on federal gas tax sharing

The governments of Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador will make an important announcement regarding an agreement on the sharing of the federal gas tax with municipalities.

Loyola Hearn, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and Jack Byrne, Newfoundland and Labrador Minister of Municipal Affairs, will be joined by Wayne Ruth, President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Municipalities for this announcement.

They will be available to respond to questions from the media following the announcement.
