Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Securities Ministers Meeting

The Honourable Dianne Whalen, Minister of Government Services, will attend the Council of Ministers of Securities Regulation meetings in Edmonton, Alberta on Wednesday,
November 22 and Thursday, November 23. The ministers will be discussing the next phase of changes for securities regulation and review progress on the initiative to harmonize and streamline securities laws across Canada.

The Council of Ministers' goal is to develop a provincial/territorial framework that inspires investor confidence and supports competitiveness, innovation and growth through efficient, streamlined and cost-effective securities regulation that is simple to use for investors and other market participants.
