Media Advisory: News Conference to Update Lower Churchill Project Planning

The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will hold a news conference at 11 a.m. today (Friday, December 1) at Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro), Hydro Place, St. John�s, to provide an update on the status of the Lower Churchill Project. Premier Williams will be joined by Ed Martin, Hydro�s president and CEO. Concurrently, the Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Minister of Natural Resources, will be at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay office of Hydro at 10:30 a.m. (Labrador time) and will be linked to Hydro Place via videoconference.

Media representatives are invited to be present at Hydro Place in St. John�s and at the Hydro office in Happy Valley-Goose Bay news conferences and are requested to have set up complete by 10:45 a.m. Newfoundland time, 10:15 a.m. Labrador time.
