Provincial Cabinet to hold meetings in Churchill Falls

Churchill Falls will be the backdrop for a meeting of the provincial Cabinet this week.

"Several times a year, Cabinet makes an effort to meet outside the St. Johns area to gain perspective on the unique regions that make up our province," said Premier Danny Williams. "Churchill Falls is an appropriate choice for this Cabinet meeting as we focus on the fall agenda, and deliberate on how we will continue to harness the opportunities before us for economic growth and social development."

"It is especially timely to meet in Churchill Falls as we continue to move forward with plans to develop the Lower Churchill," added the Premier. "We will also take this opportunity to focus on the needs and priorities of the Labrador region. I look forward to dealing with Cabinet on this and other issues of importance to the province."

Cabinet will meet on Wednesday and Thursday in Churchill Falls.
