Final details for Council of the Federation meeting in St. John�s

Details for the 2006 summer meeting of the Council of the Federation in St. John�s, July 26-28 have been finalized.

MEDIA REGISTRATION

All media attending the Council of the Federation Meeting in St. John�s must be accredited. The Registration and Information Desk is located at the Garrison and Signal Rooms, Main Floor, Fairmont Newfoundland Hotel in St. John�s.

For media arriving from the pre-conference event in Humber Valley that have already been accredited at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook, you will not have to re-register in St. John�s. However, you are encouraged to visit the registration desk in St. John�s to receive your Conference Information Package.

All other media must be accredited and pick up their conference identification badge and information package at the registration desk at the Fairmont Newfoundland Hotel.

Registration and Information Desk hours of operation are as follows:

Wednesday, July 26 10:30am � 7:00pm
Thursday, July 27 8:00am � 7:00pm
Friday, July 28 8:00am � 2:00pm

Media Filing Rooms are located on the 5^th floor (516 and 518). Please check with the Media Registration Desk for availability.

MEDIA WORK ROOMS

The media work rooms are located at the Garrison and Signal Rooms, and Salons C and D, Main Floor, Fairmont Newfoundland Hotel. These rooms are equipped with internet access, phones, power outlets, a fax machine, and two televisions. A news conference room (Salon A, Main Floor) and uni-mic (Pre-Function Area, Main Floor) will be located nearby.
