Media accreditation required

As incoming chair of the Council of the Federation, Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams will host the 2006 summer meeting of the Council of the Federation on July 26-28 at the Fairmont Newfoundland Hotel in St. John�s.

Media Accreditation
Media representatives who wish to attend the Council of the Federation meeting must register online and complete an application for accreditation, which is available online at //www.gov.nl.ca/cof. Please click on the Registration button located on the left side of the page. Applicants will be screened to ensure they are official media representatives. Media must register by June 23, 2006.

Media Accommodations
Media representatives are responsible for making their own individual reservations. Rooms have been reserved at the Delta St. John�s Hotel. A local reservations representative can be contacted at 1-888-79-DELTA. Please reference Group Code GBPREM. Media representatives must place their reservation no later than 30 days prior to arrival in order to qualify for a special group rate.

Media Work Room
A media work room will be located at the Fairmont Newfoundland and equipped with Internet access, phones, power outlets, monitors, and limited space for television editing equipment. A news conference theatre and uni-mic will be located nearby.

A meeting of premiers will be held on Tuesday, July 25 in Corner Brook, NL. Details about this meeting will be issued today by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
