NOTE TO EDITORS:
Premier�s meeting on Newfoundland and Labrador fishery

Premier Danny Williams will hold a meeting of stakeholders on the Newfoundland and Labrador fishery, May 24, at the Fairmount Newfoundland, in St. John�s. Loyola Hearn, Canada�s Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and Tom Rideout, provincial Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, will also participate.

Key industry stakeholders will be invited to present information and advice to government on long term solutions to problems currently being faced in the province�s fishery.

This will be an in-camera session, by invitation only.

There will be a photo opportunity at 8:15 a.m. in Salon A of the hotel.

Premier Williams, along with Ministers Hearn and Rideout, will hold a news conference at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following the close of meetings. The news conference will be held in Salon D.
