NOTE TO EDITORS: Aboriginal Women�s Conference in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

The first province-wide Aboriginal Women�s Conference will take place in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on March 13-15, 2006. Joan Burke, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women and Minister of Education, and Tom Rideout, Minister Responsible for Aboriginal Affairs and Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, released details of the conference in an announcement made on March 2.

Interested media outlets are invited to attend the conference banquet March 14 at 8:00 p.m. at the Labrador Inn. Ministers Burke and Rideout and conference delegates will be available to the media at the end of the wrap-up session on Wednesday, March 15 at 5:00 p.m. at the Church of the Northern Cross.
