Environmental Assessment Bulletin

Environment and Conservation Minister Clyde Jackman has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKINGS RELEASED:

(1) Crown District 1 Five-Year Forestry Operating Plan (2007-2011)                          (Reg. 1289)

Proponent: Department of Natural Resources

The minister has released the above project from further environmental assessment subject to the following conditions:

  • The Annual Operating Plan submitted to government must describe how issues raised by the public and government agencies in this Environmental Assessment Review will be addressed.
  • An Annual Progress Report must be submitted to this department that outlines the outcome of these measures.

(2) Crown Districts 9, 16 Five-Year Forestry Operating Plan (2007-2011)                  (Reg. 1293)

Proponent: Department of Natural Resources

The minister has released the above project from further environmental assessment subject to the following conditions:

  • The Annual Operating Plan submitted to government must describe how issues raised by the public and government agencies in this Environmental Assessment Review will be addressed.
  • An Annual Progress Report must be submitted to this department that outlines the outcome of these measures.
  • (3) Crown District 2 Five-Year Forestry Operating Plan (2007-2011)                         (Reg. 1296)

    Proponent: Department of Natural Resources

    The minister has released the above project from further environmental assessment subject to the following conditions:

    • The Annual Operating Plan submitted to government must describe how issues raised by the public and government agencies in this Environmental Assessment Review will be addressed.
    • An Annual Progress Report must be submitted to this department that outlines the outcome of these measures.
    • Environmental Protection Plan Accepted as Satisfactory:

      Pasadena / Deer Lake Resort (Golf Course and Residences) Re-submission            (Reg. 1212)
      Proponent: Atec Industries Inc.

The minister has accepted the Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) for Phase 1 of the above project (Timberland Golf Resort) as satisfactory.
