Environmental Assessment Bulletin

Environment and Conservation Minister Clyde Jackman has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Little Harbour (Deer Lake) Residential Development � Phase 11                              (Reg. 1256)
Proponent: Lakeside Investments Inc.

The proponent proposes the second phase of a rural residential development along the shores of Deer Lake adjacent to Little Harbour. The residential development will encompass up to 27 hectares of private forested land and will include development of 40 properties ranging in size from 0.4 hectares to 0.6 hectares. Phase 1 of the development included 52 lots. Access to the site will be through the existing Phase 1 from the TCH via the new intersection now under construction. The project was registered on May 8, 2006; public comments are due by June 13, 2006; and, the minister's decision is due by June 22, 2006.

The minister encourages all interested parties to become involved and to make comments known. Comments on submitted documents are invited from the public, addressed in writing to the minister, and are welcome prior to the deadline date shown.
