Minister visiting C.C. Loughlin School as part of Green School Routine

Media representatives are advised that the Minister of Environment and Conservation, Tom Osborne, will be meeting with the Green Thumbs team, at C.C. Loughlin School, Thursday February 16 at 9:30 a.m. as part of the Green School Routine.

The Green Thumbs team which consists of students from grades four, five and six, is responsible for the management of environmental initiatives at the school. C.C. Loughlin. is located at Citadel Drive, Corner Brook.

The Green School Routine is offered to public and private schools in Newfoundland and Labrador. To be eligible for the Green School Routine, schools must be registered with the Multi Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB). In the 2005-06 school year, MMSB will match the school�s recycling refund and have up to 100 draws for promotional prizes.
