The following is being distributed at the request of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer: Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi By Election November 1, 2006 The media are advised that the results of the Signal Hill-Quidi Vidi provincial by election can be obtained from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer on November 1, 2006, as soon as the results are received from the Returning Officer after the polls close at 8:00 p.m. The Returning Officer will be reporting the first poll results received and then in increments of every five polls received. There are 33 polls in total. This information will be made available to the media as it is received. Please make arrangements for access to a direct phone line by calling 729-0712. Alternatively, a room is provided for media representatives who wish to be present as the results are received at the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer located at 39 Hallett Crescent, St. John�s. Please confirm your attendance by noon Tuesday, October 31, 2006, by telephoning 729-0712. 2006 10 30 1:00 p.m. |
