Preliminary Count

Based on preliminary vote counts received by telephone from the returning officer from four advance polls, 32 regular polls, and the special mail in ballot count, the results of the February 21, 2006 by election in the Electoral District of Placentia & St. Mary�s are as follows:

The official addition of the votes for the By Election in Placentia & St. Mary�s is scheduled to take place at the office of the returning officer, 1234 Main Road, Dunville at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2006.  Upon conclusion of the official addition of the votes, the candidate who receives the largest number of votes shall be declared elected by the returning officer.
