valued at $48.7 million, which includes $3.7 million in carryovers from
last year. This is due to two significant increases from the initial
allocation of $33.7 million.
Paul Shelley said the planned road work will result in an improved
transportation system in the Baie Verte District. While there are a
number of road work priorities in the district, this significant
investment will result in improved road conditions for many communities
in the district, said Minister Shelley. I look forward to the
completion of this work and to identifying new priorities for road work
for next year.
"The maintenance of
our roads infrastructure is a responsibility that our government takes
very seriously. We recognize the benefits of a safe and reliable
infrastructure for our people, our economy and our province," said
Minister Rideout.
