NOTE TO EDITORS: Colonial Building Open House

The Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation will host an open house today (Thursday, November 17) from 2:00 � 6:00 p.m. at the Colonial Building. This is an opportunity for members of the public to view the building and discuss proposed plans for its future use with departmental staff.

In October, the department released a proposed management plan for the Colonial Building, developed through consultations with members of the heritage community. Key components of the management plan include recommendations that would see the Colonial Building operate as a provincial historic site with a fully developed interpretation and conservation program, including the restoration of the structure�s exterior and grounds.
