The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association will be hosting Volleyfest 2005 in St. John's and the surrounding areas. Volleyfest 2005 will have 135 teams competing in nine divisions:

1. Division 1 High School Female
2. Division 1 High School Male
3. Division 2 High School Female
4. Division 2 High School Male
5. Division 3 High School Female
6. Junior High Female Grade 9
7. Junior High Male Grade 9
8. Junior High Female Grade 8 & Under
9. Junior High Male Grade 8 & Under

There will be over 1,700 athletes, 250 coaches, and 80 officials taking part in the two-day event.

The primary venue will be the Field House, Memorial University, which houses six courts.

All courts start competition on Friday at 3:30 p.m.

The finals will be taking place for all division at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and directly following the finals the MUN Seahawks teams will be having their home openers against UNB.
