Kavanagh remains NLBA president

Dr. Basil Kavanagh has been voted in for another one year term as president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association after this past weekend�s annual general meeting, held in St. John�s. David Constantine of Dunville was elected as vice-president while John Pinto of St. John�s was elected to the position of policy director. Rose Chidley of Renews was elected secretary/treasurer and Mark Jones will remain in the position of past president.

Other members of the association include: Roger Head of St. John�s (senior director), Terry Slade of Harbour Grace (minor director), Brian Payne of Labrador City (northern director), Tom Earles of Corner Brook (western director), Jim Loder of St. Lawrence (eastern director), Mark Nash of Dunville (Avalon director), Gary Sooley (Mount Pearl south director) and Kevin Fitzpatrick (St. John�s north director). Bill Murphy is the executive director for the association.
