The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Twenty-five of the provinces top gymnasts are making final preparations for travel to the Eastern Canadian Championships, May 6-7, 2005 in Charlottetown, PEI. The gymnasts have been training for 12 months and will represent the province in nine separate levels and categories.

Luke Stritt, the only gymnasts representing Newfoundland and Labrador to win a gold medal at national competition, will use this competition to increase his scores on the individual apparatus and make any adjusts to his routines in this final competition before nationals.
