The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: 

NLBA 2004 Hall of Fame Cup rankings 

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA) has released the second set of rankings for the Hall of Fame Cup (Elite Eight) Championship to be held on February 18-20. The event is scheduled for Memorial University, and PWC in St. John�s. The selection committee, consisting of chair Roger Head, Bill Murphy, Bill Brophy, Joe Lake, Peter Abbott, Randy Ball, and Kevin Fitzpatrick, have gathered scores of invitational tournaments, exhibition games and league play for the past three months. Below are the rankings for the results currently submitted to our office: 

Female: 
1. Roncalli 
2. St. Kevin�s 
3. Gonzaga 
4. Mount Pearl 
5. Bishops 
6. Laval 
7. Mobile 
8. Holy Heart 
Male:
1. Herdman
2. St. Catherine�s
3. Bishop�s
4. Gonzaga
5. Fatima
6. Holy Heart
7. St. Kevin�s
8. Prince of Wales
 

The selection committee is urging all tournament hosts to fax the results to the provincial office immediately upon conclusion of the event. Rankings will be tabulated until February 13. The selection committee will meet at that time to release the third and final set of rankings.
