The following is issued on behalf on Sport Newfoundland and Labrador Club Mini Hoop Championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will hold two Mini Club Pepsi Championships this coming weekend, January 21-22 in the Goulds and Mount Pearl. The Goulds Hoopsters will host the U11 girls event at Goulds Elementary School while Mount Pearl Minor plays host to the U12 boys championships at Mount Pearl Intermediate School. Clubs participating in the events include Goulds Hoopsters, Mount Pearl Minor, Cowan Heights Youth League, St. Lawrence Minor, and Shea Heights Minor. The championships are held for registered basketball leagues throughout the province. Play will commence on Friday afternoon and will conclude Saturday evening.
