NOTE TO EDITORS: Information Session to be held tonight (Tuesday, October 11) for victims of west coast flooding

The Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) has organized a public meeting for tonight, Tuesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. for flood-impacted residents of Stephenville, Port au Port Penisula and Bay St. George area.

The meeting is open to all members of the public, and primarily residents who did. not attend the October 5 meeting organized by the Town of Stephenville.

The information session will provide opportunity to report progress and update on the flooding situation, and opportunity for discussion of general issues related to impacted areas and residents.

Officials with the Newfoundland and Labrador Emergency Measures Organization, and the departments of Human Resources, Labour and Employment (HRLE), Transportation and Works (TW), and Health and Community Services will participate in the information session. Those in attendance will include:

MHA Jim Hodder
EMO - Fred Hollett
TW - Gerry Antle / Jerry O'Brien
HRLE - Peter Kearley
Health - Dr. Minnie Wasmeier / Michelle Skinner

Salvation Army Major Jim Anderson will moderate.
