NOTE TO EDITORS: Public meeting to be held Tuesday, October 11, for victims of west coast flooding

An information session has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. for flood-impacted residents of Stephenville, Port au Port Penisula and Bay St. George area.

The meeting is open to all members of the public, and primarily residents who did not attend the October 5 meeting organized by the Town of Stephenville. The information session will provide opportunity to report progress and update on the flooding situation, and opportunity for discussion of general issues related to impacted areas and residents.

Officials with the Newfoundland and Labrador Emergency Measures Organization, and the departments of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, Transportation and Works, and Health and Community Services will participate in the information session.
